Our Story

An idea. A holiday. A shared belief.

Wilbert began with an idea that Millie had been thinking about for some time. But it was during a holiday together in Rhodes in June 2026 that it truly came to life.

As best friends, we found ourselves talking about the invisible mental load so many households carry— the renewals, policies, contracts and everyday details that are so easy to lose track of.

We realised we didn't want to build just another app. We wanted to create a calm, trusted companion that helps people stay organised and gives them confidence that the important things won't be forgotten.

Today, every decision we make still comes back to one simple question:

Does this genuinely reduce people’s mental load?

Why the name Wilbert?

Every name has a story.

Wilbert isn't a made-up technology brand or a name chosen because it sounded modern.

It's the nickname created from William and Albert – Millie's twin sons and Ros's godchildren – two young people who remind us every day what really matters.

Their kindness, curiosity and sense of fairness inspired something much bigger than a name. They remind us that success isn't measured by what we own, but by the positive difference we make in other people's lives.

Those values became the foundation of Wilbert. Not because the app is about them, but because we want the company to reflect the kind of people we hope they become.

Every decision we make is guided by the same principles:

Because at its heart, Wilbert has always been about helping people.
